Zhou Haijiang wins the title as “the most admired leading Jiangsu merchant during the 12th Five Year Plan”

On January 23, the 2016 (10th) Annual Meeting on National Jiangsu Leading Merchants as organized by Jiangsu Sushang Development Promotion Association was grandly held in Nanjing. Focusing on “beginning of the 13th Five Year Plan: driven by reform and powered by Jiangsu merchants”, the meeting showed the strength of Jiangsu merchants and the vitality of China to the world. Xu Ming, member of the standing committee of Jiangsu and deputy provincial governor attended the meeting and gave a speech. More than 500 Jiangsu merchants at home and abroad gathered together and looked forward to the opportunities during the 13th Five Year Plan. During the meeting, list on the “most admired leading Jiangsu merchants during the 12th Five Year Plan” was announced. Zhou Haijiang, president of HOdo Group, Zhang Jindong, board chairman of Suning Yunshang Group and other leaders won this distinction.
Zhou Haijing pointed out that the current economic situation was so serious that it could be described as a severe winter. Proceeding from the industry, how to live through all the difficulties and find out the new impetus to push forward the development of Jiangsu merchants? As executive president of the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, Zhou Haijing believes that business entities need to seek the new impetus to push forward the development of Jiangsu merchants from “three independents, six standards”, and at the same time, they need to strengthen structural reforms on supply pursuant to the 13th Five Year Plan. In this way, first opportunities must be secured in the middle of transformation and upgrading. Three independents refer to independent innovation, independent brand, and independent capital. Reform and innovation and construction of the six standards shall be carried out, which include intelligentization, greenization, internationalization, servitization, high-end oriented, and securitization. Zhou holds that this is the way for the business entities at present. Zhou’s speech attracted widespread attention of entrepreneurs and social media.
