On July 12, participants of the fifth development-oriented workshop for parliamentarians from developing countries, organized by the National People's Congress and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, visited Jiangsu as part of their visit to China.?

The members of this workshop come from nine countries, including Cambodia, Guyana, Honduras, Kiribati, Laos, Maldives, South Africa, Suriname, and Thailand. On May 22 of this year, the exhibition commemorating the tenth anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative opened officially in the Sihanoukville Special Economy Zone in Cambodia. Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wentian, provincial and municipal government leaders, guests, and nearly 30,000 employees in the area also participated. Zhou Haijiang stated that this year marks the tenth anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative, and China and Cambodia have embarked on a new era of building a community with a shared future. Riding on this momentum, under the cooperation framework of the "Diamond Hexagon" between China and Cambodia, efforts will continue to advance the industrialization, internationalization, and securitization of the special economy zone. This includes accelerating the integration of industry and the city, education and industry, and the development of enterprises with social responsibility. The goal is to achieve higher-level construction and higher-quality development, becoming a leading area in Cambodia's "industrial development corridor" and making new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Cambodia.
